Sometimes

Postby DeaconSteve on Sat Jan 28, 2006 11:56 pm

Sometimes -
I just need someone to talk too,
to lend an open ear.
Sometimes –
I just need to share my problems,
and you are always there.

Sometimes –
I just feel sad and lonely,
and don’t know what to do.
Sometimes –
I pray with all my heart for a friend,
and then, God sends me you.

Sometimes –
I want to take a walk,
and I want someone by my side.
Sometimes –
I need a bigger shoulder,
on which I can cry.

Sometimes –
I need to see the sunshine,
but the clouds are in my way.
Sometimes –
I just need a kindly word,
and my friend, you just make my day.

Sometimes –
I just need a simple hug,
to bring joy into my life.
Sometimes –
I just need to know that,
there is more happiness than strife.

Sometimes –
I just need a simple smile,
or to give, instead of receive.
Sometimes –
I just need to remember,
that you my friend,
are always there for me!

Thank you my great friend Brad. Glad you enjoyed it. Did you do what I suggested you do when you have writers block? Listen to a county song, or any song as far as that goes. Sometimes they inspire me. Love you my dear freind.

Your river of words never run dry when it comes to friendship and fellowship Steve. You always have something to remind us of what greater value friendship brings.

And by the way, the song Oh Carol, is also one of my childhood favourites. I was between 9 or 10 years old then when that was first played on the air.
~ Friendship, Love and Prayers .... thematic in theory, are they put into action?~

Thank you Leah, my dear sweet faith friend. Sorry for such a late post. I can't catch up all in one night, so I'm not gonna try. You are a special angel and we are so blessed to have benefited by your beautiful words of comfort and wisdom. Love you my friend. God bless you.

You gotta be kidding me! Shock of all shocks! I'm stunned. I'm stunned! I'm really overjoyed and stunned!. Thank you Webmaster, you are so kind. The ecard is beyond description, absolutely magnificant. Thank you Deb. Did you have anything to do with this. Despite my small humbleness, I do appreciate when one of my poems is selected for an ecard. Who wouldn't. It's an honor each time. Yes, I am human also. Although I don't write for the purpose of getting an ecard, I certainly am thrilled when it happens. Again, Webmaster, thank you. Staying up late was worth it this time. Well, it always is. God bless all of you.     :) :) :)
