~~ My Promise ~~

It’s a promise made of love
And it’s one I’ll always keep,
The essence of my strength
When weary and feeling weak.

It’s the sunshine of each day
Peace and comfort in the night,
It’s what soothes my very soul
Letting me know it’ll be alright.

This beautiful gift from Heaven
Was carried on an angels wings,
The most precious melody of all
That made this lonely heart sing.

A promise built on forever
The way it was meant to be,
This love never fades with time
My promise of love for eternity.

You have more of these love poems? And you don't post them? Why? To write poetry is a gift from God and is meant to be shared. Makes me sad to think you have more of these beautiful poems just sitting around in a drawer collecting dust. Tis sad, Jeff...yes, very sad. :(

JEFF,

This is so beautiful and speaks volumes of your sweet love for Mary. It was so sweet of you to share this with all of us and I want to thank Mary for sharing her "love" poem from you with us, too.

But you have written lots of "love" poems to God that have been posted here and we know that you have been given a heart full of love by God Himself. You pass out God's love to everyone of us and that is why you are so loved in return.

Let's face it ladies..........He is a GUY and he can outwrite all of us !!! He writes about love, bubble baths, nekkid people, God, pigs, turkeys, cows, and chickens. He is very flexible and he can make us cry with the beautiful stuff and fall out laughing with the crazy stuff!

JEFF, THANKS FOR ALL THE POEMS YOU SHARE WITH US.......THANKS FOR BEING OUR FRIEND...........WE ALL LOVE YOU!

Karen you sure know how to make a person feel special!!! I'm glad you enjoyed the poem it's a special one to me!!! I can't hold a candle to any of you talented women but it was an awful sweet thing to say!!!
